🚚 The Challenge: Beating Spiralling 3rd-Party Delivery Costs

In 2023, we were contacted by the owner of Doodle Products. His e-commerce furniture brand, HomeTreats, was expanding rapidly, selling furniture nationwide.

The problem? The company was relying on third-party delivery services. As any e-commerce owner knows, these costs were becoming increasingly expensive, cutting into margins and creating logistical headaches.

Labor made a bold strategic decision: to combat the problem, he would bring the entire delivery service in-house. This involved purchasing a new fleet of Luton vans and hiring his own team of drivers.

This is where we came in. This new fleet wasn’t just a cost centre; it was a mobile marketing opportunity. The task was to wrap an initial fleet of 4 Luton vans to promote the HomeTreats brand and its products while the vans were making deliveries across the UK.

🛋️ The Solution: A "Mobile Showroom" Wrap & 1-Day Turnaround

The brief was to create a design that was both a brand-builder and a sales tool. We developed a striking “split design” for the large, flat sides of the Luton vans:

  • Half Branding: Featured the large HomeTreats logo and tagline, building clear brand recognition.
  • Half Product: Showcased one of their core products. The first set of vans was dedicated to their range of beds, turning the van into a mobile showroom.

This initial project was such a success that HomeTreats’ in-house delivery operation grew exponentially. The demand was so large that the fleet quickly scaled from 4 vans to over 10 vans.

To support this rapid growth, we moved from a project supplier to a long-term fleet partner. We established a discounted bulk pricing structure and, critically, a workflow that guaranteed a one-day turnaround for each new van.

This allowed the HomeTreats’ operations manager to simply book a new van in, knowing it would be fully wrapped and back on the road making deliveries in 24 hours.

  • Colour Matching to New Models: We visited Tesla dealerships to assess the new 2024–2025 colour palette and selected matching vinyls from our curated range.
  • Popular Market Colours: In addition to matching the new Tesla colours, we included popular aftermarket colours such as satin matte black and satin matte grey to appeal to broader customer preferences.
  • Full Colour Change Wrap: To ensure a factory-finish appearance, each car underwent a full colour change wrap. This involved removing doors and wrapping right into the door jambs, door returns, and sills. The result was a seamless, high-quality finish indistinguishable from a factory paint job

📈 The Result: A Scalable Partnership & Zero Downtime

This project is a perfect example of a client partnership. We provided the flexibility and speed that allowed HomeTreats to scale its in-house logistics without fear of operational downtime.

We proved that we are not just a wrapping company, but a scalable partner that understands the speed of e-commerce. By turning each Luton van around in a single day, we helped HomeTreats keep its promises to its customers and build its brand on motorways and residential streets across the entire UK.
