Back in 2023, we got a call that every wrapper dreams of. A major US production company was in the UK filming a new car transformation show for Hot Wheels. The show, featuring stars like Terry Crews and Jay Leno, was built on a simple, incredible premise: bring the creative madness of Hot Wheels to life on a life-size scale.
They had sourced the best mechanics and fabricators in the business. Now, they needed a specialist wrapping partner with the skill, scale, and professionalism to handle the styling.
This wasn’t a standard livery job. The brief was pure creativity: “anything goes.” They needed a team that could work on-site at the studio location, handle an enormous variety of vehicles, and deliver flawless, complex wraps under the intense pressure of a TV filming schedule.
This was one of the biggest projects we’ve ever undertaken. We deployed a large portion of our senior wrapping team, who were based on-site at the studio for several weeks.
Working directly alongside the US production crew, we became the go-to styling and finishing team. Our task was to transform a huge range of cars into jaw-dropping “real-life Hot Wheels” creations.
